So, since this is my first ever blog (wow, now I truly am a cybergeek!), let me introduce myself and the other players in my "party of six". I'm Renee... 28, married 6 1/2 years, mother to 3 girls. Matt, my lucky hubby, is 30 (YIKES!), a ridiculous hardworker, and wonderful father to our little 'uns. Campbell, who may be referred to as "Drama Queen", is 5 going on 18. Reece, our "Problem Child" is 3 years old and stubborn as a mule. Quinn, "The Baby" is 2, and coming into her own personality as we speak! And number 4 (to complete our party of six) is due on August 26. His name is Bek, and no I don't care whether you like it or not, so don't bother giving your opinion! Notice I used the word "his"... this means that we tempted fate and we WON! We're finally getting a boy. But not to worry, there's still more girls in the household than boys... even if you count the dog and cat (I suppose if you count the birds too, then we're even).
So far, this pregnancy has been just like the others... miserable, problematic, even unbearable at times... but I LOVE IT! When else do I have a free license to be moody, skimp on housework, and park in those "expecting mother" spaces at the grocery store? But now, what with the 100 degree weather, I'm getting to the point where I'm ready for it to be over. I'd gladly trade in the pain, hot flashes, insomnia, and fatigue for... poop, sleepless nights, spit-up, and screaming - sounds like a fair trade, right?
This blog is for anyone who ever said that being a stay-at-home mom isn't a real job... and you know who you are! And if you're considering quitting your comfy office job (you know, the one where you get to talk to adults and you don't have to clean your co-worker's bottom after a bowel movement...), I highly recommend it... I would not trade my life for all the money in the world. Just don't say I didn't warn you...
